Asemic Poem by Cecil Touchon
This is an asemic poem made by chopping up an old book of poetry and then restructuring a page from vertically sliced pieces of the pages and gluing them down to a larger sheet of watercolor paper to get the composition.
One of the pieces of the system was to be sure to end up with the assembled book sheet to maintain the deckled edge on all four sides causing some of the original text to be upside down. This accounts for the unusual poem structure.
The text on the page, once arranged, was then over written with asemic writing to end up with the current specimen.
